ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Part Number Inquiries
Validate part numbers on requests through the use of multiple information sources.
Enter part numbers into the appropriate master files.

Special Order Quotations
Enter and maintain information in Access database/Excel spreadsheet to capture pricing information.
Communicate pricing to related Sales Offices.

Simple Specials (manual)
Enter part numbers and associated BOM's submitted from branches within 24 hours of request.

Invalid/Correction Notices from Japan
Research part number validity with US Engineering departments.
Take appropriate actions (part number change process, etc.) based upon results of research regarding validity and stock levels.

BOM (Bill of Materials) entry and maintenance
Execute Part Number Change process
Process New Product Introduction requirements (BOM's, part numbers)
Process Manufacturer part numbers - maintain Manufacturer-specific database and execute part number entry into AS/400
Process OEM inquiries per turnaround agreement of 24-48 hours
Process EDI reports (BOM's etc.)
Assist in the execution of pricing projects
Assist in the execution of part classification projects
Assist in the maintenance and entry of Part Number Generators
Other duties as assigned by Group Leader/Manager commensurate with experience
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent

1 to 2 years experience in data entry

Ability to work independently is a must

Good written and verbal communication skills required

Experience with an AS400 mainframe system and Microsoft windows applications

Minimum typing speed of 50wpm
