Database Analyst

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $70,000 to $75,000 per year Robert Half Technology is currently seeking a performance engineer for one of our Seattle clients. The ideal candidate must be an accomplished performance engineer and proficient with Visual Studio 2005 development performance analysis tools and Visual Studio 2005 Team Test Load Agent.
The incumbent must be very experienced with software performance engineering; specifically working with tiered Asp.Net applications in a shared hosted/SaaS environment.The incumbent will collaborate with the development, operations and quality teams to ensure accurate performance plans and data collection. This will include establishing a performance baseline and automation tools for continuous performance measurements, conducting focused tuning iterations on new and existing features and ensuring scaling capabilities meet the needs of the business under expected application load.Must be energetic and exhibit excellent analytical and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies.
"Must have" requirements:

2+ yrs of Asp.Net application development experience (Working language C#)

5+ Years in software performance engineering

Applied experience with Sql Server Profiling and Windows Performance Monitor

Applied experienced with "Out of the Box" .Net performance counters and custom performance counters.

Experience with Visual Studio 2005 development performance analysis tools

Experience with Visual Studio 2005 Team Test Load Agent
"Should have" requirements:

Familiar with unit testing methodologies and NUnit test harness
