Database Administrator

Database Administrator Job -> DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR needed immediately in Tennessee with 1-3 years database administration experience to provide database support for application development and production environments. Requires computer science background, understanding of UNIX and/or NT based operating system, skills to perform data modeling review and performance tuning concepts, and knowledge of basic system administrator tools and processes. Must have good phone skills plus excellent communication and interpersonal skills so as to train users in application development, database fundamentals, and writing basic documentation. Prefer experience with PeopleSoft database administration in an Oracle database environment and working knowledge of backup and recovery procedures.
