Database Administrator 3

POSITION SUMMARY The Database Administrator 3 is responsible for creating and maintaining DB2 Database Systems in a complex Mainframe and Client Server environment. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining recoverability, performance and capacity planning facets of the database systems, evaluating client requirements, designing all databases necessary to complete client requests, and providing SQL tuning recommendations to other members of a project team. This position is located in Medford, Oregon.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Determine business requirements, analyze and design complex database systems. Provide reporting to management as required.
•Design and write complex database Utility Scripts. Provide reporting to management as required.
•Provide technical assistance and problem resolution to clients for assigned database systems. Off-hour on-call responsibilities may be required as needed to support business needs and/or project requirements.
•Plan and coordinate medium to large projects and direct others to project completion. This includes leading project meetings, task management, estimating, project timelines, resource allocation, prioritizing work, and managing the project as assigned under periodic review.
