Data Warehouse Analyst

Classification: Consulting Compensation: $115,000 to $120,000 per year Our client is looking for a Data Warehouse Analyst.
This position requires a good combination of functional and technical knowledge of Data Warehouse development lifecycle. The successful candidate will have demonstrated a track record of capturing and modeling business requirements and translating them to data models and design in a Warehousing environment.The Ideal candidate will participate in the incremental development of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and loading or extracting of data into the Warehouse. The candidate participates throughout the project life cycle, from planning to production implementation, with emphasis on Data analysis, data modeling and follow through to production.Responsibilities• Develop and maintain knowledge and expertise in the systems supported by the Data Warehouse Group.
• Map the requirements to the source systems, the EDW and applicable data marts.• Work with the source system analysts to understand the source data entities, data and process flow and their potential use for reporting and decision making.
• Elicit, analyze and document business requirements including business rules, quality attributes, performance goals, external interfaces and constraints• Translate the business requirements and source system understanding into a logical data model and physical data design using ERWIN.• Document and communicate the logical modeling and design.• Unit test data loads and write scripts for data validation.• Collaborate with the QA team to create and execute system test plans and user-acceptance testing• Work with the development team to develop technical specifications• Be a resource in developing training materials, writing communications and assisting with answering help desk tickets.All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
