The engineer can lead or participate in design, coding, testing, commissioning, and documentation of material handling systems. Candiate will utilizes standard SAP module configuration in accordance with function process and procedure. The successful candidate will also diagnose, troubleshoot, and implement various rules and conventions for controlling a material handling system and sending respective data sets over a specified network. In addition candidate will define the system specifications for electrical wiring using customer requirements and expertise in circuitry loads and equipment requirements. Candidate will create layout drawings using expertise in advanced control logic. controls devices, scanner services, scanner functionality, and familiarization with the installation of controls on-site. Candidate will also create electrical schematics in support of system requirements as well as detailed documentation/drawing necessary to support the identification, purchase and interface details for barcode scanners. The successful candidate should have experience in automated material handling systems (AS/RS, Unit Sortation, High Speed Sortation and Induction, Pallet Handling Systems). In addition robotics experience is preferred, but not required (FANUC, KUKA, etc). The successful candidate will also understand SQL, Visual Basic, C++, WinAC, kernel mode device drivers and their related troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in serial communications such as ProfiBus, ASIbus, Ethernet, Interbus, DeviceNet and ControlNet is required. PLC programming experience using ladder logic and function blocks is also required. In addition experience using structured text is desired but not mandatory. Candidate must understand and apply all relative codes related to UL, NEC, IEC, ASME, NFPA, B20.1 and other codes as dictated by local city, state, and country. </body></html>
