Controls Engineer Plastics

Controls EngineerOur client needs a proven systems engineer with specific process control, systems engineering experience ideally with a coating, converting or extrusion operation. Must be capable of designing control logic for facility and production manufacturing equipment using electrical control hardware. This includes, but is not limited to, PLC's, operator devices, machine detection transducers and power components.

This position is responsible for:
Takes direction from the Engineering Manager to write control programs and design machine wiring.Checks functioning of installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.Interface with trades to clarify construction and maintenance requirements
Participate in the specification, design and documentation of equipment modifications and new capital equipment. Commission (debug) equipment modifications and new production equipment.Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic plant and production equipment. Utilize mathematical knowledge (statistics, bode plots, laplace, fourier transforms) to analyze test data
Must have industrial experience working with controls and PLC's in a related industry. Must be a US citizen or have appropriate authorization to work in the US. Please attach your resume as a word document.
REQUIREMENTS
This person should have related industrial experience working on systems and PLC's in a manufacturing environment.This person must be able to work with minimal supervision, have a successful track record in controls
This person must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment where trust, communication and teamwork are encouraged.
This position requires an undergraduate Degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering.A Masters in Engineering would be a big plus.This person must have strong interpersonal skills including; being a team player, have the ability to listen, and be a good communicator (oral and written).
