Control & Instrumentation Field Service Technician II

The Control & Instrumentation Field Service Technician 2 performs scheduled preventative maintenance, repair servicing, and installation of Severn Trent Services’ products.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

· Installs Severn Trent Services’ products

· Dismantles customer’ equipment in a safe and professional manner

· Schedules and plans service calls

· Performs schedules mechanical, electrical, construction, preventative maintenance work and repair on Severn Trent Services’ products

· Performs field tests and measurements

· Prepares equipment, tools and materials required for service work based on scope of project

· Troubleshoots equipment and other on-site problems and makes recommendations to clients

· Operates a service vehicle

· Maintains written maintenance and inspection records

· Writes field service work-orders and maintains records of field directed changes to the installation of equipment for billing purposes

· Responds to after hours callouts

· Ensures that equipment is cleaned and disinfected and is properly cared for, safeguarded and maintained

· Provides training to the customer’s staff on equipment operation

· Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions
REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma and 3-5 years experience in installation of mechanical and/or electrical equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience

· Good mechanical ability

· Able to effectively organize, schedule, and carry out work assignments with minimal supervision

· Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams

· Understanding of the safe operation of hand tools and power equipment

· Valid Driver’s License

· CDL Class A or B preferred
