Configuration Management (CM) Engineer

My client a national & international hospitality company is looking for a Controller. THis person will be reporting directly to the CFO and manages a team of 2.

The principal responsibility for this position is to manage the Accounts Payable, Payroll and Financial Reporting in order to assure timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
The position has also direct responsibility for credit and collections, tax and regulatory compliance. The controller supervises two direct reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Formulate financial policies in conjunction with goals and objectives of the Company
•Develop and implement internal controls
•Manage daily activities of the accounting department including supervising and training staff
•Management of workflow and product of outsourced accounting service including:
•Preparation and timely distribution of monthly financial statements
•Review of account reconciliation and analysis
•Cash management, credit control and cash flow projections
•Monitor and control expenses
•Coordinate annual audit and semi-annual review engagements with outside auditors, including preparation of schedules and other documents as requested
•Prepare compliance filings including income tax, sales tax, other and miscellaneous operational compliance filings
•Communications and management reporting with ownership
•Review contracts and agreements
•Ad hoc reporting
•Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
•two years as a supervisor
•CPA and college degreed
•Five plus years of progressive experience as a Controller including a minimum of
•Experience in restaurant or multi-unit retail is preferred
•Thorough knowledge of GAAP and practices
•Hands-on manager and problem solver.

REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have:
••some experience in configuration management,
•very detail and process oriented, fast learner, good communicator, able to work without close supervision,
•comfortable with every phase of the SDLC, take charge and demonstrate initiative
•Flexible work hours required as there are nightly builds performed as well as some weekend work expected.
Technical skills required:
•SQL (intermediate to expert - able to write complex sql queries and stored procedures)
• experience in MS Foxpro is a major plus
