Let PDS Technical Services help you add new experience to your resume. As a County Technician you will strengthen your hands-on technology experience with voting machines, servers, and optical scanners.

County Technicians install and maintain electronic voting machines within one’s own county. County Technicians are paid $17 an hour. Mileage is reimbursed at 36 cents per mile. If one travels, a per diem rate applies.

The Job Duties for a County Technician are:
•Manage the local installation of voting machines, servers and optical scanners
•Oversee acceptance testing of machines for the deployment to voting polls
•Help troubleshoot problems with servers, voting machines and optical scanners on the days of the electionJob Requirements
The Preferred Qualifications are:
•A+ Certification
•Election Industry Experience
•AS, BS, or BA in related studies
•Computer certifications

Minimum Qualifications are:
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Excellent organization and reporting skills.
•Minimum one year in IT or electronics industry
•Good working knowledge of TCIP, LAN and modems
•Must be able to lift up to fifty-five pounds
•Ability to work flexible hours

The training for this position begins September 18th. Work on this contract will begin shortly thereafter through election time in November. Work hours may vary and may not be everyday and weekends may be required.
