Computer Room Operator I

Seeking a Computer Room Operator in the Port Allen area for a major corporation. This is a 365/24/7 operation, must have a flexible schedule. Duties include, but not limited to:
Assist in the daily operation of computer systems.
Carry out all tasks on the daily checklist under supervision.
Generate reports required. Assist in verifying the validity and clarity of computer reports and other output before releasing it from Computer Operations.
Report all hardware problems to Senior Computer Operator or Computer Operations Supervisor.
Take appropriate follow-up action on all customer queries under supervision.
Report incidents to more senior personnel as appropriate.
Assist in the recovery activities necessary to restore normal operations.
Follow the correct escalation procedures within Computer Operations and other Departments who are inter-dependent.
Ensure that supplies do not fall below minimum requirements.
Maintain disk, tape and cartridge library to standards.
Provide Software Hotline coverage
Create daily/weekly reports with Microsoft Office products that will be distributed to upper management.
