Component Integration Engineer
First American MLS Solutions, a division of The First American Family of Companies, is the nation's leader in the development of Web-based MLS systems for the Real Estate Industry, offering a full line of technology products and support services. First American MLS Solutions has an immediate opening for a Component Integration Engineer reporting to our Vienna, VA location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.Responsible for installation and web server configuration of application software, software upgrades and application hot fixes along with second level operations support for multiple customers. Create and document installation processes for production environment. Configure server for application requirements. Interact with configuration management team in testing, validation and documentation of software releases. Operations support responsibilities include troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, issue tracking and escalation and assist in customer communications. Software installations, scheduling, version tracking, maintain customer software level information and manage software installation processes. Monitor system monitors and alerts to identify possible trends requiring corrective actions. Provide 24/7 rotating support coverage.Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related discipline and 3 to 5 years experience with Configuration Management processes.
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows, IIS, and COM+ and relative services configurations
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, technical judgement, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills
Strong technical project management skills including leadership and planning.
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
This position requires 24/7 rotating on call availability
Willingness and ability to participate in off business hour activity in support of mission critical systems
Ability to immediately adapt to changing requirements and conditions
Ability to work a in team environment
Ability to interact positively and effectively with employees at all levels within the organization
