Compliance Engineer

Responsibilities:
Utilize a wide range of engineering principles, theories and concepts, plus a working knowledge to solve a wide range of problems with imaginative and practical approaches.
Analyze and test components, sub-assemblies and systems to ensure compliance with international and domestic standards and regulatory guidance.
Provide guidance to NPD teams on safety standards issues.
Determine and develop approaches, methods and procedures.
May represent Respironics on working group committees for safety standards currently used in the NPD design process.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years job experience including experience with product safety testing, troubleshooting and design.
Experience must include concentration in circuit analysis and new product design concepts, domestic and international standards compliance, and with IEC/UL/CSA 60601-1 medical device standards including collaterals a plus.
