We are looking for a Compatibility Test Engineer for our Sunnyvale, CA office.

Product qualification of FC/SAS/SATA products in Customer environments. Review test and equipment requirements prior to start of qual. Set up test equipment per different environment and prepare for qual. Follow setup requirements with each customer to make sure all requirements are met. Send test status to CSE as well as customers on the progress of qualification. Follow through with all test issues and perform first level F/A on drives. Weekly conference call with Japan to review qual progress. Attend customer meetings to review test progress. Take FC/SAS/SATA trace to evaluate failures. Troubleshoot all qualification test issues and manage issue resolution. Make final reports as required per qual. REQUIREMENTS


Skills/Experience/Education:



HDD functionality and operation a MUST.

In-depth knowledge of Servers, enclosures and OS's a must.

Familiarity with equipment, SAS/SATA/FC Bus Analyzer and Disk drive test software.

In-depth knowledge of Fibre channel and SAS interfaces.

Be able to use FC analyzer and take trace and analyze.

Be able to take SAS analyzer and take trace and analyze.

Be able to do first level F/A on a disk drive.

Be able to use F/A tools to read sense code and be able to analyze.

Follow through with further analysis and recommendation for second level F/A.

Ability to work as a team player.

5 Years experience.

College or technical school of electrical and Electronic engineering (EEE).

Additional specialized courses, HDD Interface and software or Computer related a plus
