Cognos Analyst

Classification: Consulting Compensation: $35 to $50 per hour The Cognos Administrator/Business Analyst is responsible for developing, administering, and maintaining the corporate Cognos Business Intelligence environment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise along with business analysis and communication skills. The ability to translate user requirements into technical specifications is a must. This position will provide administrative support of the Cognos product suite. It also provides technical leadership and expertise in terms of using Cognos to deliver information to the enterprise.
Job Duties1.Develops the Cognos technical architecture, providing expertise to the business clients in the use of Cognos to meet the business needs, ensuring architectural consistency and integrity.
2.Captures requirements, designs, creates, manages, and fulfills requests for report and cube creation and development.
3.Develops solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation.
4.Recommends standards, methodologies, priorities, and approaches for overall Cognos environment.
5.Performs end-user education and training in the use of these tools.
