Work done in Omaha, NE. System Engineering, Architecture & Integration (SEA&I): Information Assurance Planning activities to integrate USSTRATCOM Global Innovation and Strategy Center SEA&I activities and Development Test & Evaluation (DT&E) activities to achieve Certification and Accreditation (C&A). Must produce the items that are essential to Information Assurance (IA), SEA&I, and DT&E, such as: Identification of key decision points that must be made so that factors such as the following may be appropriately balanced: Security factors important to the GISC, Design factors important to IA; Architecture factors important to IA. Must have understanding of Computer Network Defense (CND), which integrates and coordinates policies and procedures (e.g., DCID 6.3 and Common Criteria Evaluated Assurance Level (EAL), DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP), and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Program (DIACAP) and operations, personnel, and technology to protect and defend information and information systems. Must have experience producing C&A documentation: System Security Authorization Agreements (SSAA), Security Requirements Traceability Matrix (SRTM), Security Test Plan and Procedures (STPP), Trusted facilities Manual, (TFM), and Security Reports. Must have experience producing security CONOPS and Threat Analysis/Risk Assessments. Must be familiar with Certification and Accreditation of Government systems. Background to include some understanding of multilevel security (MLS), cryptography, and RED/BLACK separation. Should be capable of documenting efforts in System Security Authorization Agreements with associated appendices and providing support and documentation of Security Testing and Evaluation. Experience with administration of various of Unix, including Solaris, BSDI and Linux is desirable. Experience with Microsoft NT, 2000 and XP operating systems, including system security and hardening. Technical writing experience is required. Some travel within the US may be required. Required certification as Information Systems Security Professional. Extensive experience and knowledge with DCID security policies and requirements. Experience with Oracle Security solutions, including Advanced Security, Label Security, Selective Audit and Partitioning, as a software solution for increased system Protection Levels. Experience and knowledge with access control systems and methodologies. Experience and knowledge with applications and systems development security. Extensive experience and knowledge with security architecture and models. Extensive experience and knowledge with security management practices. Experience in writing, review, or implementation of computer and/or telecommunications architecture descriptions, designs, technical analyses, specifications, and other system documentation as specified in deliverables listed above. Experienced in MS Office software, including MS Project, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Hands-on experience using MS Project/Excel/Access to develop/create and maintain complex project schedules. General Position Description:
Applies current computer science technologies to the design, development, evaluation, and integration of computer systems and networks to maintain system security. Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design. Works with commercial computer product vendors in the design and evaluation of state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products. Provides security engineering and integration services to internal customers. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, electronic data traffic, network access. Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research. May prepare security reports to regulatory agencies such as Departments of Defense or Energy.
