Solid Cisco networking skills:
Ÿ Understanding of TCPIP (goes without saying!)
Ÿ Excellent Troubleshooting of routing / switching / connectivity issues
Ÿ CCNP Certification (Required), CCIE Certification (strongly desired), CCSP Certification (desired)
Ideal candidate would also have: (On an enterprise level, eg: t-mobile, WAMU, Amazon)
VOIP experience required, ideally with Avaya.
Experience with QoS (Quality of Service)
Ÿ PIX firewalls / VPN
Ÿ Understanding of data center management.
Ÿ Experience with blade servers
Ÿ Experience with Cisco 6509 switches (with firewall service modules desired)
Ÿ Wireless network (experience on enterprise level)
Ÿ Routing: eBGP / iBGP / OSFP
Soft Skills:
Ÿ Excellent customer service
Ÿ Ability to work without heavy supervision
Ÿ Able to take the end goal vision and requirements and come up with best way to make it happen.
Ÿ Ability to work in fast paced, high stress environments when system outages occur.
Ÿ Understanding of a highly regulated environment (SOX, Internal audit oversight, SEC regulated.)
Ÿ Experience leading a small team/projects, teaching and knowledge transfer.
Additional:
Ÿ Clean driving record, own transportation - should travel to local datacenters be required.
Ÿ Able to lift 40lbs
