Job Description:



As a part of the Strategic Planning team, this position will be responsible for the following duties:

Defines technical development and architectures for next generation navigation systems. Identifies key technical requirements and partnerships to achieve best in class systems solutions. Leads and maintains an effective advance development team. Mentors junior engineers. Revises/produces documentation as required. Software processes development for use in a SEI/CMM environment. The ideal candidate should process:

Minimum BS in EE, CE or higher degree and eight or more years of job related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Advanced knowledge of wide range of concepts, technical methods, principles and skill in applying knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments and projects. Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments. Ability to make sound decisions, recommendations, negotiates critical and controversial issues with management and executive personnel. Software architecture designs in Object Oriented, Scalability, Embedded systems and Windows: COM/DCOM, XML. Spatial data knowledge is helpful with navigation system background preferred. Motivation to produce the highest quality in a limited time frame. Strong verbal and technical writing skills. Project management and leadership skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Project. Occasional driving a vehicle to perform system testing. Domestic and international travel required.
