In this role:You will call on clients across the territory who manufacture adhesives, paints and coatingsYou will develop relationships with formulation chemist, production managers, process engineers and others within the facilitiesYou will help your clients develop new and unique formulations using your raw materials For example, a paint manufacturer may have an end user with a particular need. In developing a particular paint to address that need, they will turn to you, their value added supplier, to discuss various raw materials and possible formulations. You will facilitate this development by calling upon any resources that are needed, coordinate trials, address manufacturing needs, etc. Once the right raw materials and formulations have been confirmed, you will naturally “close the sale” by having brought more value to the client than the competitor did. REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this highly desirable position, you must:Have a BS (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or ChemistryEnjoy travelEnjoy figuring out innovative ways to bring value to the customerHave at least 3 years of experience selling value added specialty chemicals (Experience selling additives to the coatings industry, polymer, paint, adhesives, etc. will be highly considered.)
