Certifed Coders

Located on The University of Maryland at Baltimore campus, near Camden Yards and Harbor attractions, University Physicians, Inc. (UPI) coordinates and supports the clinical activities of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. We employ over 900 non-physician staff who support the clinical practices of our faculty.

Currently, we are recruiting the healthcare industry's finest Certified Coders to perform diagnosis coding for our various practice areas.

Duties will include:selecting the correct diagnosis and procedure codes based on documentation and payer specificity requirements
communicating with physicians about coding questions and issues
using modifiers to assure clean claims
maintaining current knowledge on coding and billing policies
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified applicants will possess:H.S. diploma or equivalent (GED)
1 or more years of experience in professional coding
CPC or CCS-P coding certification required
ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
PC proficiency
