Centricity PACS Integration Engineer

Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: Information TechnologyResponsibilities: * Lead the integration of various OEM HIS/RIS products into the GE PACS environment
Work in conjunction with implementation teams to ensure Interfaces are delivered using GE PACS Broker / Centricity Clinical Gateway / Connect R to receive and process radiology messages and modality worklist.
Analyze customer requirements, formulate solutions, form cross-functional teams, and successfully drive to closure custom and standard Integration solutions.
Continuously strive to improve GEMS System Integration processes by utilizing Six Sigma Tools and Methodologies.
Work directly with external PACS customers on the development of the department workflow.
Lead the development and improvement of HIS/RIS to PACS interface tools, products, process and services offerings.
Work directly with cross-functional organizations and OEM suppliers to take the HIS/RIS to PACS interface for GE's Centricity PACS to the next level of performance and functionality.
Use the GE Phased Review Disciple (PRD) process for the development and release of new products and offerings
Required to multitask owning multiple projects lasting 1 - 9 months in duration.
Work with System Integration Team leads to perform trend analysis and gain feedback on product performance and customer requirements.
Work with team members to identify and resolve customer satisfaction issues related to integration.
Travel to customer sites to provide direct consulting and systems integration services as needed to support business requirements.
Work with peers to perform trend analysis and provide feedback to product marketing on product performance and customer requirements.
Represent Integration Team at various cross-functional team meetings and projects.
Support the GE Healthcare IITS Sales and Marketing teams on Integration issues.
Work with management as required, in providing timely status updates, developing and maintaining metrics, and controlling integration costs
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent mix of education and system integration experience.
3 years experience in technical/engineering role including integration responsibility
2 years experience in project leadership roles with emphasis on integration.
Demonstrate working knowledge of SQL.
Demonstrated success in working with customers, vendors, and leading cross-functional teams.
Experience working with Windows Operating System
Travel Required at least 25% and to 50+%Desired: * Strong process orientation, problem solving & troubleshooting skills, and a firm commitment to quality.
Excellent communication skills - ability to interface and influence at multiple organization levels.
Working knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards
Working knowledge of clinical workflow
Familiarity with product development and release processes (e.g. GE PRD process)
Experience with the Quovadx Cloverleaf Interface Engine
Experience working with SQL, VB, TCL, ORACLE, Unix, VBscript
Experience with Information Systems integration
Experience with PACS Systems and related radiology workflow
Experience working in the Healthcare industry and with knowledge of hospital software systems.
