Car Repairman Welder
Business Unit: GE Industrial, Equipment ServicesFunction: OperationsResponsibilities: * Repairs railcars in accordance with AAR, FRA and company rule, regulations and policies.
Makes timely repairs, complete paper work in a timely manner.
Work with in a team environment.
Environment includes continuous exposure to outdoor weather conditions with dust, fumes, and noise.
Candidates will be required to pass an in-house welding test.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
3+ years experience repairing railcars, including a working knowledge of railcar parts.
High School diploma or GED required.
Must be English literate so as to understand written work orders, and understand company policies and procedures.
18 years of age or older as evidenced by a picture I.D. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to climb, stoop, and bend repeatedly, work in confined spaces, carry hand and power, and pass company physical including pulmonary function.
Willingness to work in Waycross, GA.
