COMPUTER SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Temple-Inland has an opening in the Operations Research Group (ORG) for a Computer Systems Engineer located in Diboll, Texas. This person will work with ORG team members to develop systems for manufacturing processes and business data. Project work will include databases, analytical reports, web applications, knowledge information systems, and software for Operations Research analysis and modeling.

REQUIREMENTS
Preferred candidate will have Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline, and 3+ years experience in computer software programming or related area. Must have strong programming background in Microsoft Visual Studio environment and have software interface design, code development and debugging skills. Proficiency with Visual Basic, .NET (VB, C#), ASP.NET, AJAX, JavaScript and SQL languages are required. Candidates must have database design experience with advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills and be proficient with Microsoft Access databases and data reporting. Candidates should be data structure, data mining and algorithm savvy. Java, C++ and MS Windows OS / networking knowledge is a plus. Familiarity with commercial statistical and Operations Research packages such as SAS, MINITAB, LINDO, and WITNESS would be helpful.
