CNC Programmer

Purpose: I am currently seeking a CNC Programmer for a leading manufacturer of industrial and commercial water cleaning systems in Camas, Washington. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position.

This individual will update, create and maintain CNC programs with a Laser Cutting Machine in addition to converting the existing CAM files created with a Turret Punch Machine to files using a Laser Cutting Machine in order to improve efficiency and quality of the fabricated parts.

Desired qualifications and skills include:
-Basic computer and Windows skills (e.g., good file management skills, export files)
-Working knowledge of FabriWin laser software
-Math skills (geometry and calculations)
-Ability to read engineering drawings / mechanical aptitude
-Familiar with CAD programs and (Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD preferred)
-Knowledge of the sheet metal standard terms (size, GA, material)
-Create cutter path programs utilizing best practices
-Understanding of nesting parts for maximum material usage
-Manufacturing knowledge for sheet metal
-Able to use and read tape measure and calipers
-Work cross functionally with other team members to resolve problems
-Attention to detail and able to train
