CNC Operator

Set-up, operate, troubleshoot and maintain the Spin Forming Machine as well as select dies and tooling according to engineering specifications (written in English) or work instructions. Load and align the tooling and check first product parts against drawings to ensure accuracy and conformance to standards. Understand the operating sequence of the machine to determine if the machine is operating as is expected. Run similar jobs of short cycle times and edit CNC programs as required. Read and interpret engineering instructions, blueprints, travelers and be familiar with geometric tolerances and principles. Perform routine maintenance on assigned production equipment, i.e., maintain cleanliness of work area and machinery, check machinery fluids and alert maintenance personnel and/or supervisor of malfunctions. Operate lifting and handling equipment such as hand truck, pallet jack, or overhead hoist to maneuver in-process or finished components to desired location. Perform other duties within the capability and training of the operator as may be assigned by his/her supervisor to ensure consistency of productivity. Operate other machinery or equipment within the work unit or cell as part of an ongoing process of skill enhancement.
