CNC Field Service Engineer Position

1. OEM CNC Machine Tool manufacturer has an opening for a Field Service Engineer to travel to customer sites to service the machines. Work on electrical systems, electronics, CNC controls, PLC controls, and mechanical systems. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and installs.
2.If you are tired and bored with going to the same place and doing the same thing every day, then this position offers tremendous variety. You travel to new places and see different processes and applications every day.

4.Approximately 80 – 100% out of town travel is required. You travel by airplane to customer sites and stay in hotel rooms 5 days a week every week.
5.This is a remote position. No relocation is required as long as you live within reasonable commuting distance of a major airport.





1.Experience working on CNC controlled equipment, machine tools, coordinate measuring machines, punch presses, packaging equipment, injection molding equipment and/or other forms of manufacturing equipment.
2.Must be willing to travel 100% 5 days a week.
3.Strong electronic troubleshooting skills.
4.Strong mechanical aptitude.
5.Strong electrical aptitude.
6.Ability to read electrical schematics.
7.Ability to read mechanical drawings.
8.Experience working on hydraulics.
9.Experience working on pneumatics.
10.Experience troubleshooting PLC controls is a plus.
11.Prior experience as a Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Technician.
