CITY OF ESCANABA, MICHIGAN JOB POSTING JOURNEYMAN LINEMAN The City of Escanaba, Michigan, is accepting applications for the position of Journeyman Lineman. Applicants must be able to participate in all aspects of electric line work, including: climbing and performing work on poles, lifting heavy weights, and working on and near high voltage lines. Applicants must have graduated from high school and be able to perform basic mathematical calculations, read maps and diagrams, and be interested in working as part of a team. Applicants must have completed a Certified Apprentice Program (7,000 working hours along with book work) and possess a valid state driver's license and a class A CDL license. Successful candidate must agree to live within 20 miles of Escanaba.
