CFT Solutions Engineer - SAP (Expert)

Business Environment and Job Description

As part of the HP Enterprise Storage and Servers Business Unit, the Customer Focused Testing team is seeking interested qualified Engineering candidates to fill an existing expert level opening within our SAP solutions engineering team.

This position will be directly responsible for the development and demonstration of HP capabilities to support customer implementations of SAP applications using HP servers, storage, software, and third party products. This individual will provide the necessary engineering activities to ensure timely application solution development and successful solution demonstrations to the HP field and customers.

The position will be located at the Colorado Springs, CO (CXO) HP engineering facility. Travel is estimated at 2 to 4 weeks per year.

Specific responsibilities include:
Provide technical assistance in the development of statements of work (SOWs) and aid in the definition of CFT solutions in support of the SAP applications portfolio.

Develop ongoing technical relationships with HP ISS server, BCS server, online storage, nearline storage, and software product groups, as well as 3rd party partners in support of CFT strategic objectives.
Integrate with SAP technical communities.
Deliver complete and accurate test plans and program schedules according to stated program objective. Successful and timely completion of supporting white papers, demos, customer facing demonstrations, and web material for each SAP solution release.
Formal communication to product teams for technical requirements or shortfalls for integrated products. Formal communication to all stakeholders at completion of each CFT program.
Provide technical support for CFT technical forums for direct customer delivery of CFT SAP portfolio projects. REQUIREMENTS


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Experience: At least 6 years experience working in an application, server, and storage environment.

The ideal candidate must be willing to work in a technically challenging environment and should have the following preferred skills: Application Experience - mySAP, SAP workloads (BW, SD, ATO), Oracle and/or SQL Server.Server expertise - HP blade servers, HP ProLiant DL servers, and/or HP Itanium servers or equivalentStorage array / SAN configuration expertise - HP EVA and/or HP XP arrays or equivalentOS configuration experience - Windows 2003 and/or HP-UX 11 Ability to quickly develop application, hardware, and software knowledge with limited oversightStrong presentation skills, ability to communicate technical content to account teams and customers. Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint for the development of technical presentations. Strong organizational skills, ability to coordinate and schedule multiple tasks. These skills are considered a prerequisite for the position, however, suitable training will be made available to any candidate that possesses a strong aptitude or technical background.
