CAD Engineer, Staff/Manager

Job Area: Engineering - TestRole: Sr. Test Engineer - Systems - Corporate Research and DevelopmentThe Corporate R&D Systems Integration Team builds and tests prototype systems for new technologies. Team members will interact closely with systems engineering and software developers beginning with concept reviews and following through system implementation and tuning. Candidates should be quite flexible in their work assignments as priorities can change quickly in this fast paced environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Experience: The System Test Engineer must have a sound understanding of communications systems including both physical and upper layers. Able to evaluate wireless communications systems through drive tests, logging and post analysis. Must be able to develop test procedures, execute tests, and isolate issues. Must have at least 2 years experience with WCDMA. Must be familiar with HSDPA and HSUPA. Must have detailed understanding of key concepts such as cell reselection, handover, searcher and finger assignments, acquisition, power control, and general call flows. Candidate should also be familiar with application layer protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP) and how to use/test them within UTMS packet-switched networks. Some VoIP and AMR voice codec knowledge and/or experience desirable. Prime responsibility will be system integration and test. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Prior field experience desirable. Candidate must be willing to travel and able to work well with others in a technical environment.Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.@HJ
