CAD Designer/ Drafter

Purpose: Our client, one of the fastest growing water contamination removal firms in the Inland Empire, is currently looking for a qualified Cad Design/drafter. The company's expertise in ion-exchange is unmatched worldwide. This mix of experienced and visionary business professionals, technical engineers and scientists have developed a unique technology to economically treat contaminated water.

Job Description:
Design layout and drafting for standard equipment and new projects. Conceptual layouts, creation of detailed drawings, checking/ modification of drawings, and drafting support for bid purposes.
Work directly with multiple project engineers and take direction from them.

Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
Prefer some junior college or college education showing desire to continue personal growth.

Experience:
3 years, minimum, in a CAD designer/ drafter role.
Tasks include general arrangements, electrical and mechanical drawings, incorporation of vendor supplied component files, and creation of design books for internal and external customers.
Create detailed PFD?s and P&ID?s outlined by engineers.
Familiarity with standard drawing symbols (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control logic, etc.) a plus.
Working knowledge of ANSI drawing standards a plus.

Skills:
Solid modeling and 2D CAD using Autodesk AutoCAD? and Inventor?. We will consider experience with other software if necessary. Working knowledge of standard MS Office programs.

This is a 9 month contract to hire position. Salary will depend upon experience.
