CAD Application Specialist

Purpose: Assist the CAD Manager in support of production deliverables with respect to local and remote A/E/C
resources
- Assist CAD Manager in maintenance of hardware and application requirements, specifications, and
license requirement and configurations.
- Coordinate resources and applications to ensure timely deliverables of CAD applications, consisting of
but not limited to AutoDesk, Trane, and other PME applications.
- Assist in the standardization of CAD programs to ensure company benchmarks are met and maintained
- Provide technical support of all CAD applications, including CAD hardware and software applications.
- Review / Report new technology trends as applicable to the A/E/C environment
- Ensure desktop compliance, application configurations, and customizations as needed for new and
existing users.
- Maintain archive and documentation library focusing on standardization and user understanding and
compliance
- Assist CAD Manager with corporate training initiatives and ongoing assistance.
- Perform training of ADT applications to varied user community.
- Provide assistance, including troubleshooting, training and support to users via remote connectivity
- Provide assistance with CAD application output consisting but not limited to scanner, plotters and
electronic dissemination of application files.
- Perform requested ad hoc design specific inspections, resolve contentions among disciplines and
promote departmental initiatives

Expert in the utilization of design specific applications such as ADT2004, ADT2005, Trane, and ABS
- Experienced in civil / structural / electrical design adherence and inspections using native applications
- Experienced in takeoffs of structural / civil / mechanical design applications
- Experienced in training, support, and documentation of design specific applications
- Experienced in a multi-disciplined A/E/C design build firm and interdisciplinary requirements.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent documentation and thorough presentation skills
- Able to work in a challenging and varied environment
- Able to facilitate coordination between business units and disciplines among varied individuals
