If you enjoy working in a dynamic and challenging environment then read on!This position is for the world's largest software company, headquartered in Redmond, Washington.Our client's Hardware-Software team is looking for a software engineer who has strong experience shipping software on the Windows platform - and likes a hard, challenging and fun project involving software to support new devices. You must have at least a Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. You must have object-oriented programming in C++ and design experience, experience with Win32 and Windows messaging. You must write solid, high quality, maintainable code. Experience with GUI development, kernel drivers, DirectShow, COM, WIA, UVC, SOAP, Image & video compression technology, ATL, C#, Windows Installer / WiX and DirectAudio are nice to have but not required.Best possible would be if for our two current positions we could get one very experienced Windows UI person, and one device driver/Windows kernel guru. Second best would be one of these and someone strong in DirectShow and image processing. However, people who are simply super strong at shipping software on Win32 and C++ are also encouraged to apply.Here are the most important traits/skills:
