Buyer

•Procurement of the most technical components used in the manufacture of Production Machinery equipment. Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to obtain the most economical price and delivery of products manufactured by the outside supply chain.
•Develop and manage sources of supply, including production processes, methods, corrective actions, deviation requests, and the technical interface between Belvac Production Machinery and these major suppliers.
•Must have the technical ability and experience to provide Design Engineering more cost effective alternatives to specified brands or apparatus.
• Must have a clear understanding of the geometric tolerance requirements used by Belvac Production Machinery on all parts and equipment.
•Capable of collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to determine performance trends of the supplier base.
•Ability to analyze procurement related manufacturing and technical issues to determine root cause and review/approve supplier corrective actions.
•Work as a self-directed team member with engineering and production control integrating all facets of the supply chain.
•Must be able to travel as required.


Education:
•Bachelor of Science in Business or Engineering
•NAPM certification as C.P.M.
•Minimum 10 years experience as Senior Buyer/Planner or NAPM equivalent.
•M.B.A. a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be C.P.M. certified.
