Business Manager
Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: ServicesResponsibilities: Commercial Support/Expertise - Must be capable of supporting Will be in charge of driving internal approval process for offering non-standard terms & conditions, outside of the standard distributor contract.Integration of Sales Efforts - Must drive integration & coordination of distributor network with all GE Businesses - may have some synergies in customer base or opportunities for the GE Jenbacher product line. This includes, but is not limited to, coordination & participation with the GE Energy Regional Sales Executives and their teams.Metrics and Forecasting Expertise - Must be capable of developing accurate orders/sales forecasts with each distributor and communicating these forecasts to the GE Business. Will be responsible for keeping the internal forecasting database (PAKT) updated and accurate at all times, allowing for proper planning by the overall GE Jenbacher Sales and Mfg. teams. Will play an integral part in SI, SII and Growth Playbook planning.Marketing and Business Development Expertise - Must be capable of analyzing different regional marketing trends and drivers in the reciprocating engine, distributed generation and renewable energy sectors. The Business Manager will be the resident expert on regional market drivers including economic trends and incentives, renewable incentives, and state and federal government policies and initiatives. With this marketing knowledge, the Business Manager will assist in driving the business development of new and emerging marketing segments.Technical Expertise - Although the Business Manager and the distributor network will rely on the engineering and technical support from the ITO/OTR team, the Business Manager must have knowledge of the product line and the ability to help distributors select the best engine size/configuration for a given opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Four year degree in Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Business or related areas.
Commercial experience, either in a sales or ITO role, with experience in contract negotiations and pricing structures.
Strong computer skills with systems such as Excel, PowerPoint,Desired: * Experience in Distributed Generation or Renewable Energy Sectors.
Reciprocating engine power generation technology experience.
Market analysis and Voice of the Customer experience in the Power Generation Sector.
Five years of Sales/Marketing experience in the power generation field or similar.
Strong working knowledge of Webcat, PAKT and ESVU programs.
Experience working in a matrix organization and multitasking.
