Boiler Engineer Project Manager

Requirements:

B.S. (or advanced degree) in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience working with boilers.

• Knowledge of basic and well established engineering practices and principles
• Knowledge of engineering specs of various boiler manufacturers in North America
• Able to support procurement to source boiler Manufacturers in North America
• Knowledge of various suppliers
• Able to help develop bids and negotiate contracts
• Able to interface with purchasing and assist in the bid process
• Broad understanding of boiler structural and mechanical principles
• Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

As a member of the Boiler Installation Group, the Project Manager will be responsible for the entire project. The Project manager will work with the Contractor, the Client and the OEM construction staff to ensure proper installation of the boiler and associated equipment. The prospective candidate must have extensive experience managing coal fired projects. Coal background is a MUST. HRSG and gas backgrounds will relevant will not suffice for this position.
