As a result of the July 2000 reaffiliation with Scripps Clinic, Scripps now has approximately 10,000 employees and also cares for patients at 12 Scripps Clinic locations throughout San Diego County.Division: Scripps HospitalsDepartment: BIOMED ENGINEERINGJob Type: Full-TimeShift Type: DaysShift Hours: 8 Hr ShiftPosition Profile: Provides advanced levels of equipment and/or departmental service and support, and performs preventive maintenance, quality assurance inspections, installation, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, repair and general maintenance on one or more categories of diagnostic imaging equipment, radiation oncology, and other related technologies at multiple facilities.
Supervises and/or assists other service providers, both Hospital staff as well as external vendors, in completion of repair and maintenance work activities. Approves vendor invoices related to repair and maintenance on selected specialty devices and systems. Assists with installation planning, acceptance testing and ongoing up-time management of newly purchased specialty equipment. REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: Five or more years hand's on experience performing direct repair and maintenance on both general and model specific equipment in one or more of the following specialized fields:
Diagnostic Imaging Equipment: includes general radiographic; fluoroscopic; special procedures; ultrasound; gamma camera; MRI; CT (computed tomography) systems and other systems specific to Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound. Radiation Therapy/Oncology Equipment: includes linear accelerators; simulators; stereotactic
systems; treatment planning systems; and other systems specific to Radiation Oncology.
