Aviation Maintenance Technician III

The primary function of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is to maintain, repair and return to service the company aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer's publications and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. The individual is responsible for the basic aircraft, powerplants and their associated systems such as hydraulic, mechanical, avionics/electrical and environmental. Strengths in avionics and electrical systems highly desirable. The individual is to consult with technical support and order parts when necessary to meet flight schedule demand.



As an AMT, the individual is considered a key element of the maintenance team whose experience, practical knowledge, creativity and problem solving skills ensures that the company aircraft are maintained in an airworthy and dispatch ready status at all times. The individual is expected to work on assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment, initiative and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions. The individual's work is to be completed with minimal supervision and there may be some assignments to be completed without established procedures.



In addition, the individual shall:

- Comply with standard operating procedures.

- Perform maintenance on all aircraft during scheduled inspections.

- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft discrepancies in compliance with manufacturer's standaards to expedite return to flight status as soon as possible.

- Overhaul and/or repair parts and assemblies.

- Design and fabricate tooling and support equipment as needed to maintain and/or repair aircraft.

- Be responsible for safe aircraft movement and orderly activity on the ramp including but not limited to fueling, arrivals and departures.

- Assist passengers and flight crew members during arrival and departure. This includes baggage handling.

- Be responsible for the employee role in the company's Environmental Health Safety and Security Program, Hazard Communication and Illness and Injury Prevention Plan.



REQUIREMENTS
The individual must have an an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
