Associate GIS Developer

Purpose: This firm is a global leader in full-service engineering, consulting, construction and operations. The Orange County Regional Office is seeking individuals who would be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of moderately complex GIS applications. Candidates will work with a project team to define GIS application strategies and to develop detailed specifications. Individual must understand all phases of GIS application development and implementation. A Technical expert in one or more specialized areas fro GIS is a plus.

Candidate must have a degree in Geography, Planning, Natural Resources Engineering or GIS related field or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of one or more GIS packages and GIS programming languages is a plus. Individual may be a specialist in a technical area such as photogrammetry, remote sensing/image processing, GPS or in applications such as cadastral, AM/FM or environmental. Knowledge of operating systems UNIX or NT is also considered a plus.

Primary requirement is for GIS expertise using ArcGIS 9.x software and experience with extension products such as 3D Analyst and Spatial Analyst is considered a plus. Candidate must have 3-10 years experience in GIS application development.
