Associate Engineer, Lab Technician

To add to our team of talented people, we are currently seeking an Associate Engineer within our Global Manufacturing Department.





The responsibilities of this role include:



JOB SUMMARY HERE:


Assist in the set-up and maintenance of the Global Manufacturing lab and prolonged STB test system, management of the Global Manufacturing satellite simulator and live Signal distribution and consigned units from Contract Mfg.

Assist in factory investigations requiring Global Mfg. involvement.

Periodic SW testing on released platforms.

ETC Test Equipment management with associated contract manufacturers.

Additional Duties may include assisting in the assembly and design improvement of an automated STB Unit Level Test.

System, modification of current Production Test Specifications to incorporate product changes during the normal life-cycle of the product.

Assist with the documentation and implementation of specific procedures.

Available for up to 25% domestic/International travel.

job Requirements


Minimum qualifications to be considered are:


EDUCATION: Associates degree in Electronics Technology, Computer Science or equivalent field; or at least 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years experience with electronics lab testing preferred.


EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1-3 years experience in mechanical and electronics troubleshooting.
Minimum of 1-3 years experience in the review of test procedures and/or specifications in a technical environment, with the ability to critique and change for correctness preferable.
A minimum of 3-6 months experience with Oracle or a similar accounting SW.


SKILLS: Proven fast-learner; basic knowledge of software and software test processes; proven written/verbal communication skills; detailed-oriented; ability to work in teams, ability to carefully package and ship electronic assemblies. Should have demonstrated the ability to work effectively with third party test houses to deliver integrated solutions.
