Assistant Resident Engineer

Provide Resident Engineering services on significant areas of major contracts in addition to other construction management support services on concurrent larger projects. Undertakes the responsibility for office activities that relate to management of a major construction project. Work responsibilities encompass all areas of office engineering, field engineering, inspection, project controls and contract administration.
REQUIREMENTS
A B.S. degree in Engineering or related field is required. Six (6) years of construction-related experience with at least two of the six years spent in significant administrative assignments involving independent decisions and comparative responsibility. Proficiency in applying construction engineering techniques and knowledge of codes, standards, and construction and engineering methods. Ability to coordinate, plan and organize work, react objectively and expeditiously to critical construction and engineering problems. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to use computer database and spreadsheet programs for construction data administration purposes. Ability to direct, supervise, and motivate field engineering personnel to accomplish the construction project objectives is required.
