Application Integration Engineer

Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: Information TechnologyResponsibilities: Application Integration is a newly formed team within Global Services responsible for the implementation of the Centricity Framework across GE HCIITS Since the Centricity Framework will be used to integrate a range of GE HCIITS products, the ideal candidate for this position is one who has knowledge of existing GE HCIITS products and is excited about the opportunity to learn others. As a member of the Application Integration team, the Application Integration Consultant is responsible for the successful implementation of Centricity Framework at assigned client sites. The AIC generally serves as a member of a larger cross-functional team, though occasionally servers as primary project manager. The AIC:
Installs and configures the Centricity Framework to work with one of more GE HCIT products
Serves as the primary point of contact relative to the Framework portion of the project
Advises and assists the client with implementation of third party software products for single sign-on, CCOW and context management
Develops and manages the project timeline
Coordinates hardware planning with other GE teams as needed
Coordinates application resources, as needed
Develops and delivers customer education
Resolves client issues in compliance with established resolution times and project milestones, using standard tools
Conforms to established quality measures
As a member of a newly formed team, contributes to the definition and documentation of team processes, standards and training materials, as assigned
Represents Services by participation in new product introduction programs, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Minimum 5 years of professional services or project management experience, especially working with external clients
Knowledge of at least one of the following GE HCIITS products: Centricity Business, Centricity Enterprise, Centricity Imaging, Centricity Practice, Referring Practice Online, Patient Online
Knowledge of Windows clients and server platforms (XP, 2000, 2003, etc.)
Knowledge of web server platforms (IIS, Tomcat, iTP)
Ability to work effectively with customers
Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams within GE IITS
Ability to use standard project tools, such as Microsoft project
Ability to lead projects to successful, on-time, completion
Ability to work learn new technologies easilyDesired: * Knowledge of multiple GE products highly desired
