Application Developer Senior IT Analyst

This position requires a seasoned IT Professional with a broad range of experience in Software Development and Implementation across multiple platforms, inclusive of a thorough understanding of Project Life Cycle Methodologies and Processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytic and problem-solving skills, be extremely self-motivated and a strong team player. Individual should possess the ability to meet challenging deliverable deadlines and be able to multi-task in support of multiple assignments as required. Responsible for a variety of duties including supporting users, diagnosing and resolving problems, implementing workflow and alerts, configuration changes, testing patches and upgrades, modifying and creating new applications to support business priorities. Documentation of functional and technical specifications for enhancement requests and development of interfaces are also required.
REQUIREMENTS
6+ years of application development experience Proven design, development and implementation experience in a progressive environment Ability to interface professionally and pro-actively with business partners on a daily basis in support of their requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as strong interpersonal skills. As a result, the qualified candidate must be able to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences including other developers, as well as business partners and management Must be self-motivated, possess the ability to take on projects and tasks with little direction, and apply good judgment on decision-making skills History of meeting deadlines in uncertain environments, and delivering high quality results Proven ability to appropriately identify, take ownership, and focus on highest priority tasks Must possess a mindset to objectively view and effectively explain an issue or resolution from an end- user/customer perspective Required technical competencies ideally include: Hyperion .Net framework including ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, C# and Web Services MS SQL Server ASP VB COM+ (Transaction capabilities / support) XML SS Knowledge of mainframe is a “nice to have”
