Application Design Analyst/Development Project Mgr

Duties and Responsibilities

•This role works with customer to understand project requirements.
•Performs analysis to fully expose the requirements, assess feasibility, scope, impact and conceive a solution.
•Creates and delivers Conceptual and High Level Functional Designs (which are first iteration designs).
•Works with development and QA staff throughout the development cycle, answering questions related to requirements, fine tuning the design concepts as needed and working with Developers to facilitate documentation updates as directed.
•This role works with customers through the development, QA and implementation cycle; answering questions and communicating status to the customer and management.
•This position is a bridge between the customer community and the technical community.
•This position must hold both business and technical knowledge.
•This role owns project responsibility for assigned projects, from the perspective of estimating duration and working with resources to reach schedule dates, reporting status, working with management to mitigate risk to the schedule and achieving project goals
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Skills

•Procedural Code Design, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, UML, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Professional, MSDN Suite, SQL Server
•Analysis, Critical Thinking, Application Conception and Design, UML design and documentation skills
•Ability to estimate project duration and manage projects and assigned resources to successfully meet company objectives
•Electronic payment or financial business systems experience is a plus.


Education

•Bachelor of Science or Higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Management degree and two years of applicable experience; or, five years of applicable experience
