Identify and assess business risks as they relate to IT systems. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls over those systems and applications. Provide electronic discovery to assist with the collection and presentation of digital evidence and controls. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform risk assessments of IT systems, applications, networks, and associated operational areas to help establish scope, and develop audit plan and testing criteria
Plan, organize, conduct, and manage a variety of computer forensic examination activities
Provide computer forensic services including digital evidence preservation, analysis, data recovery, tape recovery, electronic mail extraction, and database examination
Provide technology advisory services to enhance forensic engagements
Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to create information security awareness within the organization
Implements information security policies and procedures for the organization
Monitors compliance with information security policies and procedures, referring problems to the appropriate department manager
Monitors the internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained
Conduct general computer control reviews to examine the adequacy of controls within the information systems environment, including change control, information back-up, scheduling and problem management, and system monitoring tools
Evaluate effectiveness of system related financial reporting and disclosure controls
Perform software and network security reviews
Review corporate disaster recovery plans
Perform reviews of IT policies, standards, and procedures
Recommend corrective action to improve controls, enhance operations and reduce cost
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by pager to provide security support, as needed
Perform other duties as required
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & LICENSES:
Working knowledge of security and/or functional business processes and resources
Knowledge of computer forensic tools, methodologies, and protocols
Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding customer relationships
Knowledge of application and database security
Knowledge of security protocols, applications and authentication tools
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows security principles and practices
Ability to analyze and resolve problems in fast-paced, dynamic business environment
Good organizational skills to handle multiple priorities
Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) a plus
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
3 - 5 years related experience, of which 3 years has been in information systems or law enforcement
3 years of forensics experience
Experience with the design and implementation of security controls
Experience with requirements gathering, design, development, testing and implementation of security controls
