Advanced Product Development SpecialistHydro-Gear is a world leader in the design and manufacture of hydrostatic drive systems for the lawn and garden industry. Hydro-Gear is a growing company located in Sullivan, Illinois , with many new career opportunities available.Advanced Development SpecialistMajor Duties and Responsibilities
Generate ideas for new products or product enhancements that provide innovative solutions to customer needs
Conduct tests and analyses to determine the viability of ideas generated by other members of the advanced development team
Work with Intellectual Property department to ensure appropriate protection of new product ideas.
Provide monthly status update to the advanced development team on all assigned projects
Develop and adhere to project schedules
Work with advanced development designer to develop CAD models to the level required for prototype development
Build prototype models for lab testing and vehicle fit-up
Generate prototype test plans
Evaluate test results
Support development of product specifications for concepts that have been determined to be viable for production
Work with outside consultants, as required, on the development of new technologies
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
BA/BS degree from four year college or university and at least 5 years related industry experience; or at least 8 years related industry experie nce; along with a proven track record of
developing innovative design solutions.
Experience with hydraulic/hydrostatic systems highly desired.
Experience in agric ultural or lawn and garden industries highly desired.
