We are currently seeking an Advance Sourcing Manager for our Office Furniture Group. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all supply chain activities for assigned product programs during the Product Development Process (PDP). The ASM will be the global supply chain point of contact on cross-functional PDP teams. The ASM shall provide a comprehensive global supply chain footprint encompassing a total cost of ownership financial analysis. The goal of the ASM is to ensure agreed upon operational deliverables of product cost, quality and manufacturing start-up production schedules are realized.

High Level Roles and Responsibilities Include:

Be customer centered and market driven
Provide advance sourcing supply chain support of product development process to ensure flawless operational execution and alignment of supply chain to product programs
Provide PDP teams with supply chain alternatives (supplier, material, design) to optimize supply chain effectiveness
Drive process improvements to achieve operational excellence, especially in regards to quality and reliability
Establish initial pricing for commodities and finished products
Be responsible and accountable in achieving desired metrics while following established processes
Provide product development team single point-of-contact for GSCM activities
Ensure optimization of flexcel manufacturing and contract manufacturing resources to bridge capabilities, equipment and DFM knowledge as the PDP process transitions from ideation thru concept toll gates ending with execution toll gate
Assist in creating a productive and positive working environment on PDP teams

REQUIREMENTS

College degree in Management, Engineering, or Operations preferred-MBA is a plus
5+ yrs experience of increasing leadership roles within Supply Chain Management / Procurement positions
New product introduction / product development experience preferred
International supply chain experience, multi-language knowledge-especially Mandarin-preferred
CPIM and / or C.P. M. certifications a plus
Knowledge and experience with ERP / MRP systems-SAP experience a plus
General management and / or supply chain management experience in a manufacturing or procurement organization-international experience preferred
Proven ability to manage a supply base portfolio of sub-contract manufacturers
Industrial or manufacturing process engineering experience a plus
Furniture industry experience a plus
Has demonstrated results and experience in modern supply chain management and procurement processes and techniques
