Advance Manufacturing Engineer-Assembly

Copeland Corporation, an Emerson Climate Technologies Company, and the global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of compressors and heat pumps for the residential and commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industries. Our engineering team is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer-Assembly to develop process equipment and systems for manufacturing.

Key Position Results:
•Position will be responsible for equipment for new assembly lines, capacity expansion programs, process improvement, and cost reduction activities for Scroll products.
•Responsible for project management, equipment specification, purchase, troubleshooting, qualification and installation.
•Position will work closely with Management, Engineering, AME and plant peers.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience Required:
•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•Individual must have strong experience with AutoCAD.
•Hands-on experience with tooling, gauging, and assembly or maching equipment.
•Strong communication skills, be a self starter and a team player.
•Four to five years experience in a high volume assembly environment.
•Must have solid project management skills, including scheduling, procurement, equipment qualification, and installation.
•Working knowledge flow/lean manufacturing principles.
•Must have strong communication and project management skills.
•Willingness to travel (United States and Mexico), up to 50%.
