Principal Accountabilities



Achieve sales goals (revenue/margin/volume) by developing opportunities with assigned and prospective accounts in assigned category/territories.Provide results through understanding both consumer & customers needs and translating those needs into innovative, differentiable and sustainable business opportunities based on ingredients, ingredient systems, service or quality driven solutions. Ensure that appropriate resources are utilized in order to address customer issues. Establish Cargill as a long-term supplier at key accounts by developing, maintaining and expanding strong customer working relationships at multiple levels and functions. Utilize Sales and Marketing support functions to assist sales efforts as well as develop and build the Cargill image and presence as primary supplier at key customers. Participate in development of annual fiscal year sales budget for assigned category/geography, taking customer requirements into account. Support long-term Cargill Texturizing Solutions (CTS) business unit growth through the development of overall strategies for assigned sales category/geography. Identify and recommend new technologies and new market opportunities related to customer base. Continuously develop and update product and market knowledge base via on-going training and education. Gather pertinent information to allow category/geography team to successfully reach commercial goals. Execute customer pricing programs against category/geography based market pricing policies and procedures. Work with category/geography team to provide competitive price quotes, which will maximize sustainable growth and profit return to the assigned customer base. Identify and develop project opportunities with assigned accounts. Attend and participate as appropriate in customer based visits to Cargill facilities and/or Cargill personnel visits to customer facilities including plant visits, scale-ups, R&D seminars, R&D work sessions and headquarter visits. Prepare and communicate visit objectives, necessary legal agreements and agenda to the appropriate participants prior to the event. Lead event follow-up steps and communicate as needed. Provide assigned Customer Service Representative(s) with guidance on the needs and expectations of key/specific customers to ensure high quality service level. Assist where appropriate in resolving customer-based complaints. Effectively collaborate with other Cargill business units, account representatives, technical specialist, customer Enterprise Customer Leader/Corporate Account Leader (ECL/CAL) and Food Ingredients & Systems North America (FISNA) categories to facilitate opportunities to provide a synergistic customer approach providing increased value. REQUIREMENTS


Requirements

Bachelors degree (Business, Food or Engineering degree preferred)

Minimum 3 years experience with business-to-business (B2B) product marketing OR sales in food industry

Proven sales management and relationship building skills

Strong listening and communication skills

Strong influencing skills

Understanding of food ingredient applications

Fluent in English
