ATE Test Engineer - Avionics

Skills needed

Minimum requirements:
•“C” software language experience (minimum 5 years)
•BSEE, BSCS, Computer Engineering or similar degree
•Experience programming hardware (as opposed to Database and related business software applications).

Responsibilities
•Software development using C.
•Software documentation to Capability Maturity Model (CMM) level 3 and/or DO178B Level E standards.
•Software / Hardware integration in lab using advanced Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
•Status / progress reporting.

Experience (in order of importance)
•Experience writing C test software to test highly complex electronic systems.
•Experience working with (programming) a wide variety of instrumentation hardware such as: IEEE-488, PCI based instrumentation, Ethernet, RS232/422, Discrete I/O, analog, USB, etc.
•Experience creating and working with DLL’s in the Windows environment.
•Experience using National Instruments LabWindows/CVI (“C” code).
•Experience working under a well defined software process (for example, CMM Level 3 or better).
•Some Saturday work may be required.
•At least 2 years experience in Aerospace industry.
•Experience with PVCS Dimensions desirable.
