BASIC PURPOSE:
This is a manufacturing/maintenance engineering position. The successful candidate will focus on systems/process design, development, maintenance, capital projects, productivity initiatives and improvements.
Job Requirements:
Working knowledge of robotics, control systems, material handling and vision systems to include pick and place, as well as automated measurement systems.

Experience with hardware and software application of PLC's and industrial computers, various industrial sensing applications, and motion control.

High level of problem solving and technical competency combined with sense of urgency to identify and resolve technical challenges.

Evaluate and propose upgrade paths for obsolete equipment.

Experience in project planning and tracking. Must know how to write and interpret technical specifications.

Requires excellent interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD.

Experience making presentations to customers, suppliers, and upper management.

The ability to utilize LEAN/PQI/Six Sigma methodology in design and process validation is critical.

Provide training for maintenance and other appropriate personnel as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline required. Two plus years experience preferred.
